Well here you are. Looking at my stuff. This is a collection of random bits and pieces. Work, personal projects, random works… whatever. Here are all the important things you need to know. Im an Aussie living in London. I drink espressos all day long. All. Day. I collect sneakers. I can listen to any music, but of late, it’s usually Art Rap or anything pre 70s. I went to Tokyo once, and my worlds not been the same since. I will always pick a hotel over an Air B&B. I play the piano, but always wanted to play guitar. Dogs are better than cats and I will die defending that hill. I like fringe folklore. I’m (regrettably) a watch guy. I watch Eurovision and take it seriously. I am slowly writing a collection of short stories. I’d love to design a service station or a strip club. The world is to hi-def - give me grain and texture. I’ve been doing this since 2004 - don’t do the math.

What started as an idea with a school mate turned into a project that I have obsessed over since it started. Radio Vivian is an online radio station, started during ‘spicy flu season’ and has continued since. Myself and co-found Gary did live radio shows, sourced old-timey radio shows, created audio horoscopes, created different genre shows - the works. Designed by myself and developed by Gary, we did everything from the theme tunes, artwork, website and everything between.
From Radio Vivian, I have been building out a whole narrative-driven media brand, Vivian Home Entertainment. Here is a sample.

One of the radio shops I started was Midnight Alien Art Club. It was a show broadcast just before midnight (prerecorded) as a soundtrack for creative people to work to late at night.

Late to the party is a review series I started for music media website, Amplify The Noise. It’s a series based on older albums that myself, or others, may have missed.
↗ Liquid Portraiture by Clap! Clap!
I’ve long enjoyed the concept of ‘beautiful chaos’, in art. When the seemingly disordered creates something whole and beautiful, I think this is one of the most thrilling expressions of art. Liquid Portraits by Clap! Clap! seems to inhabit this beautiful chaos, but everything is thoughtfully and deliberately placed, creating something special.
Like the name suggests, the album is a collection of sonic-paintings created by Italian producer and DJ, Cristiano Crisci, a.k.a. Clap! Clap! Though I hesitate to ‘genre’ this album, Crisci comfortably plays with contemporary jazz, afro-beats, traditional drums and instruments to create a complex electronic album, rich with colour.

A Town Called Drake ↗
For years I have been wrestling with a fictional narrative, but struggled with how to bring it to life. Since starting the Radio Vivian universe, it’s started to come into alignment. The beauty of Vivian is that it’s provided a sandbox in which everything can belong and everything can inspire. This experimental space has finally started to give the narrative more direction and scope. Finally there is a destination for this work….welcome to A Town Called Drake.
Website coming soon. For now, follow @atowncalleddrake for updates.
